Class #79 Creative Leftovers: A Mini Mixed Media Journal, DIY Washi Tape & More

Have a pile of painted papers, layered backgrounds, and little pieces you couldn’t bear to throw away? Let’s put them to work! In this playful class, we’ll use scraps to create finished projects full of color, texture, and personality.

These projects make a wonderful follow-up to the previous two mixed media classes. You can watch those classes and create panels, cards, and backgrounds along with me, then bring your leftovers here. This class also stands on its own—just gather scraps from your own stash and jump in.

We’ll create:

• A mini mixed media journal made from scraps and leftover pieces
• Our own DIY washi tape to use in future projects
• Your choice of an accordion journal or ATCs (Artist Trading Cards)

Come ready to experiment, use what you have, and see how much creativity is hiding in your leftovers!

What You’ll Learn

• How to use scraps and turn them into mini mixed media journal
• How to turn leftover materials into custom washi tape
• How to use small pieces to make an accordion journal or a set of ATCs
• How to choose and arrange colors, patterns, and textures so your scraps work together
